New Advising Policy
*Advising is optional for all SENIOR (non-graduating seniors!) Mechanical Engineering undergraduate students. Flowcharts will be sent via email and registration holds will be removed prior to your registration date.
*Spring 12 Graduating seniors do not need to come in unless you have questions!
*Advising is mandatory for ALL JUNIOR, SOPHOMORE AND FRESHMEN Mechanical Engineering undergraduate students. Registration holds are placed on records for all students prior to pre-registration each semester. These holds can only be removed by visiting with an undergraduate advisor (ME 140) during the scheduled advising times. The department schedules a pre-advising session for advanced registration each semester, students who do not come in during the pre-advising period may be required to wait until open registration.
Advising Schedule
Summer and Fall 2012
We will schedule appointments for advising by classification. Each classification group will receive an email notifying them when it is their turn to come in for advising.
Advising appointments will be required - email casey.bush@ttu.edu to make an advising appointment (**this is the only way to schedule appointments)
Students who qualify for early registration (4-6) appointments can be made now.
- Juniors: appointments can be made on or after 3-26-12
- Sophomores: appointments can be made on or after 4-2-12
- Freshmen: appointments can be made on or after 4-10-12
No appointments or walk-ins on Fridays
Registration Activation
Summer and Fall 2012
- Graduate students, UG early registration (honors, athletics etc): April 6th
- Seniors/double degree: April 10
- Juniors: April 12
- Sophomores: April 16
- Freshmen: April 19

- (TTU Red Raider Orientation)
- *RRO (TTU Red Raider Orientation) is mandatory for all new students. Department holds are applied to all new students and the university will not activate the student's registration until the specified orientation.
