Research Interests: Engaged in academic and research responsibilities for both undergraduate and graduate students. Teaching of a two-semester graduate course sequence in the design, control and economics of variable-speed wind turbines and windfarms. Initiated and secured funding through a multi-agency consortium for a first-of-kind demonstration of the integration of wind turbines with desalination systems to supply potable water from brackish groundwater aquifers. Principally-involved in the securing of Congressionally-Directed and other funding for wind energy research programs.
